job duties:
- Evaluate patients and provision of therapeutic treatment as ordered by Health Services clinical staff.
- Administrates medications as prescribed or ordered for the patients, including immunizing agents and perform skin testing. May perform venipuncture and administer and withdraw intravenous fluids.
- Counseling patients as needed under the direction of mid-level provider and/or supervising physician.
- Securing a health history from the inmate patient and recording findings in the bureau electronic medical record (BEMR).
- Recording diagnostic testing, i.e., venipuncture for laboratory studies, visual acuity testing, electrocardiogram (EKG), per instructions from the health care providers (Mid-Level Practitioner, or Physician).
- Assist the Physician and Mid-Level Practitioners in the management and oversight of chronic care clinics.
- Possess basic knowledge of treatment of chronic health problems such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma.
- Review clinical records to ensure data is entered legibly and in the appropriate section of medical record.

Salary: $26.60 per hour
Standard shift:
- Day shift
Weekly schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Qualifications:
· Must have a clear and active LPN License.
· Must have graduated from an accredited school or training program for Licensed Practical Nursing.
· Must have a current and active CPR certification in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
· Must have a minimum of 1 year LPN experience.
License/Certification:
