Senior Property Accountant
Miami, Florida
job duties:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with property management teams to develop property budgets and forecasts, and monitor performance against budgeted figures.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for assigned properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and rent rolls.
- Expense Analysis: Review and analyze property expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Lease Administration: Oversee lease accounting, including rent escalations, CAM reconciliations, and tenant billings.
- Audit and Compliance: Assist with external audits and ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, process payments, and maintain banking relationships for assigned properties.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+years of experience in property accounting.
- 1+ Years of CAM Reconciliations.
- Proficiency in real estate accounting software is preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
