Senior Vice President of Accounting (Real Estate)

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Leadership:

• Develop annual budgets and business plans aligned with company goals.
• Assess financial performance and provide insights to the executive team.
• Oversee system implementations to enhance financial and operational efficiency.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal audit standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with financial partners and investors.
• Manage tax implications for business decisions and oversee all tax-related activities.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Review and present financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and ensure proper financial controls.

Accounting & Tax Management:

• Lead the preparation and distribution of financial statements and reports.
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and manage audit functions.
• Stay updated on tax laws and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.

• Education & Certification: Degree in Accounting & Finance with a CPA    
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in a senior finance or accounting role, preferably in real estate development.
• Technical  Skills: Proficiency in Yardi software and other accounting tools, including Sage products.
