In-House Attorney for Real Estate Developer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced In-House Attorney to join this dynamic team and provide comprehensive legal support to their growing operations.
Job Summary:
The In-House Attorney will be responsible for managing all legal aspects of the real estate development projects.
This includes overseeing transactions, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, handling contract negotiations, and providing strategic legal advice to senior management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice and support on all aspects of real estate development, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, construction, and property
management.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning laws, land use regulations, environmental laws, and building codes.
• Conduct due diligence for potential property acquisitions, including title reviews, environmental assessments, and other risk assessments.
• Liaise with external legal counsel, consultants, and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Advise senior management on legal risks and mitigation strategies related to real estate development projects.
• Manage and resolve disputes, litigation, and other legal issues that arise during the course of business.
• Stay current on legal trends and developments in real estate law and ensure the company's practices are aligned with industry best practices.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in real-estate law, preferably with experience in real estate development.
• Strong knowledge of real estate transactions, land use and zoning laws, environmental regulations, and construction law.
• Excellent negotiation, dratting, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with a real estate developer or real estate law firm
• Familiarity with Miami and Florida-specific real estate laws and regulations.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• $125K/yr - $150K/yr + Bonus
