Construction Manager
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a strong background in development to join a client based in Miami, FL.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects throughout the United States.
This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and permitting through construction and final inspection.
• Development Coordination: Work closely with the development team to ensure projects align with the company's strategic goals and vision.
• Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, bids, and contract negotiations.
• Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
• Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards are met in all aspects of construction.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning laws and building codes.
• Vendor Management: Source, select, and manage contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Site Supervision: Regularly visit construction sites to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting any risks or issues and proposing solutions.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on commercial real estate projects.
• Development Experience: Proven experience in managing development aspects of construction projects, including site selection, permitting, and coordination with development teams.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Builder Trend) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Travel: Willingness to travel to project sites throughout the USA as required.
