π©ββοΈ Q: What made you choose GLC Group as your travel nurse partner?
β
Ashley: This company was recommended to me by connections I made at a conference. I hesitated initially as I'd heard stories about agencies that seem supportive during the application process but then neglect their nurses once they're on assignment. I didn't want to find myself in an unfamiliar setting with no support. I was seeking a reliable agency that I could count on. After reading all the reviews and having a personal conversation with the CEO, Lorin Cone, I understood that this company truly cares. I decided to try it, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made in my career.

π©ββοΈ Q: How did you decide to continue to the next travel nursing assignment?
β
Ashley: My first assignment went smoothly, and I decided to continue to the next. The chance to explore new places, meet new people, enhance my career in different facilities, and make a positive impact on different communities all fueled my decision.
β
π©ββοΈ Q: How did GLC support you?
β
Ashley: The support from GLC was exceptional every step from the moment I applied, I was lucky to have a very attentive recruiter during credentialing, which seemed a little bit overwhelming at first, but with the guidance and clarity, I made it.
β
π©ββοΈ Q: What were some highlights of your second travel assignment?
β
Ashley: My second assignment, around the Pittsburgh area, didn't start as planned. I had an accident on the road at night and wouldn't have made it on time if a GLC employee hadn't driven two hours to help me out and bring me to my Airbnb. They also checked on me and my car later on. My recruiter prepared a list of things to do, where to eat, and what to visit, which was very convenient. Visiting the petting zoo and trying empanadas at the Venezuelan Arepa bar was particularly memorable! On the job, I was fortunate to work with welcoming healthcare professionals and the onboarding instructions I received on my first day helped me quickly integrate and receive positive feedback.
β
π©ββοΈ Q: How would you summarize your experience?
β
Ashley: My experience with GLC has been excellent and invaluable. They care about me from the very first moment up to now, I know that if I need support or have a question, I will not be left alone. With GLC, I felt like part of a team, not just a nurse sent on a job.
